The History of

The Fusilier Complex

The Fusilier Complex is a non-profit, private membership only shooting club formed to provide a safe, enjoyable place for members to shoot handguns, rifles and shotguns. The club was formed from the old Hub City Rifle and Pistol Club that operated a range near Lafayette, LA.  The club was formed in 1948.  Due to the encroachment of urban sprawl, that range was closed down.  The club then found a new location for the range and the Hub City Rifle and Pistol club was dissolved and The Fusilier Complex was formed.

Memberships are available.  Annual dues are $100 (memberships run from September 1 to August 31st. of the following year).  There is a $100 initiation fee payable for new members.  If your membership lapses by one complete year, the initiation fee is payable again to re-join the club.  The range is affiliated with the National Rifle Association (NRA) and membership in the NRA is required to be a member of the club.

The club has a range work day the first Saturday of each month.  The range is closed for the duration of the maintenance activity.  The grass is mowed and backstops are replaced.  Any other range maintenance is also done at this time.  Members are encouraged to come out and help during these work days.
